Job Description
You will form part of the sales and business development function tasked with sourcing and converting new opportunities within the on-vehicle market. This is a new business role, engaging with clients to understand their on-vehicle technology challenges and aspirations and then convert these needs to project and service revenues. Key Responsibilities
- Understand the Ocular value proposition and how it aligns to the on-vehicle market.
- Secure new clients in the on-vehicle market, both in service and project revenues.
- Build a healthy funnel and pipeline to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to co-ordinate activities to target new business.
- Identify and on report on market trends, competitor activities and target customer needs.
- Make recommendations for new technology partners and/or product developments to exploit market trends and key target customer opportunities.
- Develop and execute clear win strategies and engagement plans for key target customers.
- Conduct presentations, seminars or CPD sessions to customers and targets, as required.
- Participate in regular sales meetings and product training sessions.
- Embrace the sales team culture and work within company procedures/guidelines to meet and deliver the required standards and reporting deadlines.
Assisting the Sales and Marketing efforts of the Company in any way that may be directed and not covered by the above

- Strong listening skills, with ability to understand customer challenges and aspirations, communicate these internally as key technical requirements and ability to communicate the key features of a proposed solution as benefits to the customer.

- High standards of integrity with the ability to change, adapt and grow.
- Innovative, proactive, and reliable whilst possessing an investigative nature with an attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to express technical and non-technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Willing to travel extensively within the UK and to be present in front of prospective clients.
- Ability to perform under own initiative as well as working within a strong team culture.
- Capable of working under pressure and managing challenging situations.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with decision makers at every level.
Qualifications & Experience
- A proven track record of achieving profitable sales growth with evidence of significant new business development in a solution-sales environment.
- Knowledge of and experience in the UK bus and coach, or other public transport markets.
- Demonstrable Business Development experience in surveillance and/or safety systems.
- Experience of solutions-based selling into the public transport market, preferred.
